Letters from Veterans

People often ask us, “How do you keep going? What keeps your team and volunteers motivated?”

It’s the letters we receive.

Thank you so much and I appreciate you taking the time to help me.  I really do. I wish there was more people like you in this world.  Glod Bless You and your family.

Thank you very much. I appreciate you taking the time. I will add the resumes to my job hunting arsenal.

I have received help for my resume from one of your wonderful volunteer career coaches and I would like you to know that I am very grateful and pleased with the help I received. I now have a rocken resume which has received more responses from prospective employers than I expected.

A warm heart Thank You for your time helping us Vets, it means a lot.

Thank you very much for your assistance is GREATLY appreciated!

WNYHeroes has gone above and beyond the duty as for helping us this Holiday Season. My husband is a disabled vet and due to circumstances beyond our control, found ourselves homeless without food for this Thanksgiving. Mr. Kreiger went out of his way to make sure we had a Thanksgiving Dinner and a Security Depost for a place to live. We are proud to be Americans and would like to thank Chris, the vets and God for helping us at this time of need.

I would like to thank you so much for you helping out my family and me.   We would like to wish you a Happy New Year from all 7 of us – Chrissy, Marty, Kaley, Julia, Alyssa, Zachery & Elly.  Thank you again.

We just wanted to say thank you from the bottom of our hearts.  Your donation to us helped us get that much closer to being caught up and we are truly grateful. – Heather, Adam, Sydney, Colton. Bryan, Travis, Connor and Emilee

My name is Adam Kiblin, I just recently got off of active duty in the Army and served as a combat medic. I found myself having some difficulties transitioning back to civilian life; finding a good and stable job while trying to readjust to back to civilian life. I got in touch with WNYHeroes through a family member and fellow veteran who advised me this was the best decision to make. I was hesitant at first and then I heard that it was staffed and operated by veterans and figured “Why not?” The day came and I met with Chris, we sat down and I learned about what WNYHeroes is about and the programs they have to help us veterans. Since then, WNYHeroes has helped me through their “Pawsitive for Heroes” program by providing the funding so that I may have my service dog.  Doing this is a big burden lifted from me. I have felt much different, comfortable, and less fearful knowing my dog has personally helped in my treatment for PTSD .WNYHeroes not only helped with this program, but also rendered assistance with being a huge part of my current employment situation. When I needed someone the most, they were there. WNYHeroes guided me through the red-tape and showed me that with my military skills and training, I can put them into action in the civilian world too. I’d recommend getting in touch with WNYHeroes, Inc., should you be in need. Their slogan states “We’ve got your Back” and they truly do. Always putting the veteran needs first.
