Local Veteran Profile: Kevin Oliphant

Apr 4, 2018 | News

Kevin served in Iraq in 2005 with the 3rd Infantry Division as a Combat Engineer. He’s originally from Wilson and is married, with three children. Kevin is one of over 30 local veterans who has a service dog trained through the Pawsitive for Heroes program. His two-year-old pitbull has been invaluable in helping Kevin cope with Post Traumatic Stress, along with counseling once a week. Kevin would like people to understand that PTS isn’t something one can “…just get over”; and not all wounds are visible.

With Charity Navigator we hold a 96% rating.

Why not 100%, because we did not post our 990 on our website. That has been fixed and now posted, however, we have no control as to when they change that rating.

With GuideStar we hold the highest rating of Platinum for transparency.
